Journalist notifications are only sent every two days

Bonjour,

Contrary to what the documentation says, journalist notifications are sent every other day instead of daily. The /var/log/syslog file contains a line that reads: journalist notification suppressed, why is that?

Replying to myself for the record :wink:

This is a bug: SecureDrop will check if the previous mail was sent less than a day ago and decide to suppress it when it is the case. Since the mail is sent every time the machine reboots, it may be the case that one day the machine reboots faster than the previous day. In which case it will suppress the mail because it was sent less than 24h ago.
